Cyrus Amir-Mokri was the Assistant Secretary for Financial Institutions at the U.S. Treasury Department. He resigned from Treasury in April 2014. Amir-Mokri was a senior legal and policy advisor to the Chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. He participated in the legislative process that led to the passage of the Dodd-Frank Act and the subsequent implementation through rulemaking. He also served as the agency’s deputy representative to the Financial Stability Oversight Council and as liaison for inter-agency affairs. Amir-Mokri’s previous experience in government was to serve as law clerk to the Honorable Bruce M. Selya of the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
The Progress party (FrP) in Norway, which Mr. Keshvari is a member of, is an extreme right party and is known as one of the “racist” parties in Europe. It is a party like the Nazi-party in Germany.The party’s former leader Carl Ivar Hagen was well known for his many controversial speeches and interviews in which he generally blamed foreigners and specially Muslims for every problem in Norway. He once said that the Norwegian government has to castrate all Muslim men in Norway to eliminate their chances of reproduction!! He also supported a former deputy leader Terje Sørviknes who admitted to rape a minor girl party member in 2001. He referred to him as FrP’s crown prince! In October 16th 2013, Progress party (FrP), together with Conservative party (Høyre), established Norway’s 61st Cabinet. Maziar Keshvari – member of the Progress party and Storting – is unfortunately NOT a good example for Iranians to be proud of!
