 Dan Ahdoot is a stand-up comedian who primarily performs in New York City. He is well known for being a contestant in NBC’s reality TV show Last Comic Standing and for performing on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend.An Iranian Jew, in Tehran, Iran. He grew up in New York City, and studied cinematography at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Ahdoot grew up in Great Neck, New York. “I grew up in Great Neck, N.Y., which is actually a hotbed of Iranian Jewry, so I didn’t really know that I was very different until I went to college.” He completed pre-med studies at Johns Hopkins University but did not continue to medical school.
