Princess Lalla Salma is the wife of King Mohammed VI, the current and the only ruler in Morocco to receive public acknowledgement of his royal title. This extremely beautiful first lady was born in Fez, Morocco, on May 10, 1978, in an upper-middle class family where her father was a school teacher. Princess Lalla became an orphan at only three years old in 1981 when her parents died; she went to be raised by her grandmother who was living in Rabat at the time. Princess Lalla studied and became an engineer, a profession in which she worked for a short while as an information service engineer in Morocco’s largest private holding company before getting married.
