Mariah Carey just insured her vocal cords and legs for a whopping $70 million. The singer is currently on tour and recently extended it to South America, meaning there’s a lot of money on the line and she’s taking precautions. TMZ says the monthly premium is “in the many thousands of dollars.” And if $70 million sounds like a lot, it’s really not. According to The Independent, in 2006 when Mariah became the face (or rather the legs) of their “Legs of a Goddess” campaign, Gillette insured her legs for an astonishing $1 billion.
