Kim Jong Un told President Xi Jinping he was committed to denuclearisation in North Korea if the US and South Korea showed ‘goodwill’. He announced earlier this year that he would be meeting Moon jae-In – his counterpart in the South – by sending his invitation-bearing sister to the opening ceremony of the Pyeongchang Olympics. The meeting is planned for late April in a truce village inside the DMZ and is being hailed a huge step forward.
