With a four-year-old called Freddie, who is profoundly deaf in one ear and moderately deaf in the other, mum Sarah Ivermee knows first-hand the difficulties in getting kids to wear their hearing aids. Soon after diagnosis at the age of just three-months, Freddie was given a hearing aid. In a blog post for The Limping Chicken, Sarah describes it as ‘a small beige coloured device with a clear mould. Not the best looking but it did the job!’ Last year, at three-years-old, Freddie was fitted with a cochlear implant. Mum says the choices of device were a little better, but still limited.Designs include Batman, Toy Story, Minions, Hello Kitty, butterflies, Star Wars and Spiderman – the kits start from £10.99.
